The project is financed by European Commission, The Eastern Partnership Rapid Response Mechanism

  1. Association of Independent Press (API),
  2. National Environmental Centre (NEC),
  3. National Youth Council of Moldova (CNTM).

Overall objective:

Communicate to and familiarize the public in Moldovan regions with the current situation of the country development through an information campaign about the essence of the democratic reforms supported by the EU in Moldova, the benefits of the Association Agreement and the importance of Moldova fulfilling its commitments made at the European level.

Specific objectives:

- Inform Moldovan people on the essence and extent of the reforms supported by the EU and other development partners, a priority for a democratic state governed by the rule of law;

- Raise awareness among more than 25% of the country’s population on the immediate and prospective benefits of implementing the Association Agreement in the Republic of Moldova;

- Promote information useful to the Moldovan youth about the opportunities granted by the EU for their training, communication and professional development.

The NP of EaP CSF estimates that, as a result of the Project implementation, the level of information of citizens in the Moldovan regions about the real situation in the country will increase; they will better understand why the reforms do not go well and will get more involved in promoting them, by putting positive pressure on the politicians and on other decision makers.

In the frames of the project, the following activities are envisaged to be implemented:

1. Organize and hold meetings in different formats and other activities to inform different target groups about the essence and degree of implementation of European reforms;

2. Publish and disseminate well-documented information materials in Romanian and Russian languages about the stage of implementation of the Association Agreement, the existing backlogs and the need to speed up the reforms;

3. Carry out TV programs and debates for better informing about the results of the European reforms planned for implementation in the Republic of Moldova and funded by the EU, including the reforms lagging behind and the possible consequences for the country’s development.

4. Information activities among young people on the benefits offered by the EU to the youth.
