Purpose

To strengthen civil society in order to get an active involvement in the elaboration and implementation of environmental policies and legislation of the Republic of Moldova

Main activities
|
- Testing water on nitrate concentration in Lipnic village, Ocnita district;
- Holding public hearings on polluting underground waters of Lipnic village with waste waters from Ocnita District Hospital;
- Producing a video about pollution of underground waters in Lipnic villages with waste waters from Ocnita District Hospital
- Holding 3 regional seminars in Balti, Cahul and Chisinau municipalities on the draft Environmental Strategy for 2012-2022

- Video produced and placed on the web page of the National Environmental Center
- 3 regional seminars organized with various stakeholders (local authorities, competent authorities at the local level, NGOs) in Balti, Cahul and Chisinau municipalities on the draft Strategy on Environment of Moldova for 2012-2022
- Public hearings in Lipnic village organized on pollution case of underground waters with waste waters from Ocnita District hospital
- Water tested from shallow wells on nitrates concentrations in Lipnic village and results demonstrated to the local population, recommendations on how to improve shallow well water quality given to the local population by scientists
