Purpose
|
The purpose of the project is to consolidate the Moldovan society by involving different ethnic groups in sharing their cultural values and unifying all together around a common challenge of saving water resources for nowadays and future generations. Reviving old traditions of nature protection in different regions of Moldova including in Transdniester region and promoting the message of water protection among various ethnic groups of the society and building the knowledge of the whole population that there is lack of water and the Moldovan population should join together to save this nr.1 environmental resources for actual and future generations will facilitate the dialogue between various ethnic groups of Moldovan society.

Main activities
|
Organizational phase of the project includes preparations for the Rivers Festival which will take place in September 2016:
- Identification of the folk artists, national songs and dance groups, crafts artists and invite them to participate at the festival from all over the country;
- Preparation of the festival program in order to reveal the most important message of the festival: "Culture connects us" and "Our rivers bind us together"
- Logistic preparations for the festival;
- Promotion activities for the festival.
Development phase will include:
- One-day event at the end of September or beginning of October. The event will be opened by the representatives of the Ministry of Culture, local public authorities and donor organization. It is supposed that it will be attended by at least 2000 people, mass media will be invited to highlight the event.
- Free master-classes of traditional crafts and cuisine will be organized for the participants of the event.
- A workshop for participants to share and discuss about their local traditions related to water and their practices of keeping them clean will be organized.
The closing phase include:
- Preparation of the video advertisement distributed through the internet to invite public to the event about the event and distribute it via relevant web pages.
- Preparation of at least 5 articles and press-releases before and after the festival and publishing them on web sites, social media pages and on web- pages of the partners.
